2nd Test England
During the second test of the series between England and India, security officers remove a pitch invader from the stadium.

2nd Test: On Day 3 of the 2nd Test, the bottle cork reportedly flew at KL Rahul. The visiting squad had a humorous reaction when they faced a pitch intruder.

Before lunch on the third day of the second Test, a bottle cork was thrown at India’s first-innings centurion K L Rahul from the stands and while an English fan in India attire entered the field before tea. In the 69th over, Mohammed Shami sent a champagne bottle cork bowling toward Rahul, who scored a brilliant 129 in the first innings. The fourth delivery of Shami’s, which was preceded by Rahul, the fielder near the boundary ropes, was the target of the villain batsman. Kohli wasn’t pleased with the situation and encouraged Rahul to throw the ball as far away as possible.

As several Indian players were spotted speaking to the umpires, the game was briefly suspended as they conferred. While nothing was able to be confirmed, it was generally agreed that the gesture was just for drawing the umpire’s attention, and not a formal complaint.

A burly English fan wearing “Jarvo” on the back of his jersey walked on the field during play.

Mohammed Siraj had a hearty laugh as the security officials intercepted, and when they had, he pointed at the BCCI logo on his jersey and made gestures as if to set the field.

Before he was expelled from the venue, security caught him. Because beer is allowed on English and Australian grounds, it can’t be established whether he was inebriated.

Last year, when the Indian team toured Australia, they were subjected to racist taunts that resulted in some spectators being thrown out of the Sydney Cricket Ground on New Year’s Eve.

At that time, the Indian team had officially reported the match referee, David Boon, who had granted them the choice to exit the game without playing.
