BCCI has notified Pacer Avesh Khan, after a blow to his left thumb on Day 1 of the three-day warm-up between Indians and Select County XI.
On Wednesday, the Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) alerted the public of a blow to the left of bowler Avesh Khan on Day 1 of the three-day warm-up between Indians and County Select XI. “UPDATE – Avesh Khan, a fast bowler, remains under BCCI Medical Team supervision and will play no further part on Day 2 and 3 of the warm-up game,” tweeted BCCI.
In Playing XI for the County Select XI, India’s cricketers Washington Sundar and Avesh were chosen for the 3-day warm-up in Durham.
On Tuesday, the Indians won the battle and decided to fight County Select XI. Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane were reposed for the game and Rohit Sharma leads the team.
After feeling rigid back late on Monday evening, Kohli had been told to relax, while Vice-Captain Ajinkya Rahane swells mildly around his left upper hamstring which is adjusted for the injection.
KL Rahul produced a superb hundred while Ravindra Jadeja scored a brave 50 (75) for a 3-day warm-up on Day 1.
In the stumps, India ended at 306/9 on day one as Rahul and Jadeja performed in front of visitors. On 3 and 1 respectively, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj stayed unbeaten.
