India led the series 1-0 after two matches against England

England versus India: Dawid Malan says India’s Virat Kohli captain is “infectious” and drags his co-workers along with him.

In awe of the unformed bowling attack of India, swashbuckling England batsman Dawid Malan on Tuesday remarked that the “good man” visiting team has the capacity to take tests in all circumstances. The two sides compete on Wednesday in the third test, with India leading 1-0 of the five-game series. “I believe that India is well led; I think Virat Kohli is really contagious in how he goes about his business, and you know that he is dragging many of others with him,” stated Malan in the pre-match news conference.

“They have a lot of depth not only in their batting but also in their bowling, they also have bowlers who can get test crickets under any circumstances.

“…that’s a lot deep and they’re really terrific competitors,” added Malan, a 33-year-old from the left, who was reminded of the Test team.

In August 2018, Malan last tested India at Birmingham.

The hosts are down from 0-1 after losing their second test in 151 runs at Lord’s, with the indigenous pacers led by the raiding Mohammed Siraj.

On Monday, England skipper Joe Root claimed that adding Malan will strengthen his top three and, ideally, leads to a successful result in the third test.

After debuting against South Africa in 2017, Malan earned 724 runs out of 15 tests.

When asked, if he has a new approach and the obstacles he experienced while batting Malan at number three, he said: “It’s really not something that I did a lot in my red-ball cricket career. I’m trying to play the same style but I’m playing.”

“If 30 nice balls are bowling to me and my 30 good balls survive, then I hope you receive some terrible balls in the next 30…

I walk and play just like I would at four, where I have batted most of my career and hopefully what I have is good enough to be successful,” he said.
