On the occasion of International Daughters’ Day, Sachin Tendulkar posted a throwback photo of himself with his daughter, Sara, on social media.
International Daughters’ Day is observed annually on the fourth Sunday in September. It will take place on that date this year, which falls on the 26th of September. A throwback photo of Sachin Tendulkar and his daughter Sara from 2021’s Daughters’ Day was shared by the cricket legend. Young Sara is shown sitting on Sachin’s lap with her hands raised in the air as if she were making the number six signification. Sachin used the following words as part of his post caption: “When you’re around, time seems to fly like a 6… as you’ve demonstrated in this photograph. Seeing you grow from a little girl into an attractive young woman brought me such joy. As a mother, I’m proud of you and feel blessed to have such a wonderful daughter. #InternationalDaughtersDay.”
Sara wrote “Love you” and two red-heart emojis in response to her father’s Daughters’ Day wish.
Here’s a snapshot of the event:
More than three lakh people liked the post an hour after it went viral.
Sachin had previously shared a picture of the two together on his social media pages in 2016. On a yacht out in the ocean, the two were photographed together. As always, Sachin came up with some witty and cheeky captions. He stated this in his letter: “Are we stranded on an island, Baba? Me: No, I’m not on the beach!”
Sachin’s caption included several puns. Here are just a few examples. Last year, in another throwback photo with Sara, he made a pun out of her name. In the photograph, Sachin can be seen holding Sara close to him. The father and daughter are beaming as they pose for the photographer. “Where else can I get itna “Sara” cuteness?” Sachin captioned the photo.
To help Mumbai Indians in the upcoming IPL 2021 season, Sachin is currently working as a coach in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
