After an incorrect LBW decision, Virat Kohli confronted the umpires.

Kohli appeared to be dissatisfied with Sharma’s performance as an umpire.

RCB was eliminated from the IPL 2021 after their loss to KKR on Monday.

Virat Kohli, the captain of the RCB, slammed on-field umpire Virender Sharma after a questionable LBW call during KKR’s innings in Monday’s Eliminator match between the two teams.

The Indian skipper, Virat Kohli, isn’t one to hold back on the field. When the RCB captain blasted on-field umpire, Virender Sharma, for a bad LBW call on Monday, Sharma was forced to defend himself. Despite the fact that the ball clearly struck his pads before making contact with the bat during Kolkata Knight Riders’ chase in the Eliminator, Rahul Tripathi was not declared not out. Following an appeal, the third umpire reversed the decision of the on-field umpire. Kohli, on the other hand, was not satisfied with merely taking the wicket. Before going to confront the umpires, he angrily threw the ball to the ground.

An enraged Kohli got into a heated exchange with umpire Virender Sharma over the decision.

Here’s a video of the entire incident:

It was clear that Virat Kohli was dissatisfied with Virender Sharma’s performance as umpire throughout the match, and his resentment reached a boiling point following the LBW call.

Virender Sharma made two questionable decisions for RCB during their innings, both of which were overturned by the third umpire Anil Chaudhary.

Even though he leathered the ball onto his pads, Shahbaz Ahmed was bowled by Virender Sharma in the 15th over for RCB. The non-end striker’s umpire, Glenn Maxwell, was not pleased with the decision and spoke with him briefly.

A second time, Virender Sharma was scrutinized in the final over of the game after giving Harshal Patel the ball after Shivam Mavi bowled him out LBW. Once more, the replays revealed that there was an inside edge and an impact that was also far from the target area.

RCB lost another run when the decision was overturned by the third umpire.

RCB were bowled out for 138 in 20 overs, with Sunil Narine taking four wickets for 21 runs from his four overs to lead the way.

KKR maintained control of the chase despite a few hiccups in the middle. Kolkata kept their nerves to close the game and reach the target with two balls to spare despite some tight bowling and poor batting from the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

In Qualifier 2, KKR will face Delhi Capitals, with the winner going on to face Chennai Super Kings in the championship match.
