James Anderson fired Boult in the end.

The most Test cricket runs scored by a No. 11 batsman:

Trey Burton (640) Muttiah Muralitharan (623) Trent Boult (640) Trent Boult (643)
Gary McGrath – 603 James Anderson – 618
Courtney Walsh – 553 yrs old

For the past ten-and-a-half years, I’ve been keeping an eye on this record,” Boult remarked.

The current 2nd Test is in an interesting place.

In order for England to take a 2-0 lead in the series, they will need to score 299 runs.

After opening batsman Zak Crawley was bowled cheaply by Boult in the first session, the hosts lost an early wicket.

Daryl Mitchell, Will Young, and Devon Conway all made half-centuries in New Zealand’s second innings, which ended in a 284-run defeat.
Both James Anderson and Matthew Potts picked up two wickets each for England.

After England had chosen to bowl, New Zealand had amassed a massive total of 553 in the first innings.

Daryl Mitchell produced a stunning 190 in his third Test tonne, while wicketkeeper-batsman Tom Blundell also made a tonne in the same match (104).

Joe Root and Ollie Pope smashed 176 and 145, respectively, to put England on 539, 14 runs behind New Zealand.
