The opening batsman for the Gujarat Titans has been the team’s leading run-getter this season because of his consistent displays of brilliance at the plate. Not only that, but he also scored three hundred. As the tournament comes to a close, all eyes will be on the young batter, whom many cricket experts and fans alike consider India’s hope for the future.
Former India captain Kapil Dev spoke highly of Gill, saying that the young batter is learning from the likes of Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Virender Sehwag, and Virat Kohli.

Still, before making any grand claims, I’d like to allow him one more season to prove himself. Kapil stated on ABP News that despite his obvious talent and abilities, he lacks maturity.
There is no doubt that he, too, could be listed in the list of great players if he plays another season like this. But right now, I’m not sure I want to take him there. Perhaps he should give it another year. “It’s too soon to tell”
