Australia captain Aaron Finch was unsold at the Indian Premier League 2021 player auction.
Australia’s Aaron Finch said that it was not unexpected to be unsold in the recent Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 player auction. “It would have been nice to play again. It’s a great competition, but it wasn’t unexpected that I wasn’t picked to be honest. I would love to play cricket, but a little bit. A little time at home won’t spoil,” Cricket Dotcom quoted Finch as saying.
In the final edition of the IPL, Finch played for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and scored 268 runs in his 12 innings. Last month, the batsman was dropped from the squad before being unsold in the IPL 2021 Player Auction, which was held on 18 February.
Australia is currently preparing to take on New Zealand in the five-match T20I series starting on Monday at Hagley Oval in Christchurch. Finch said he is working on some technical things.
“I’m working on some technical things, trying to lift a little less weight on my front leg. Sometimes I can get a little flat and my legs are planted so I struggle to walk again – I have the initial movement then I get a little stuck, ”he said.
“I’ve talked a lot and done a fair job with Andrew McDonald, which every time I go back, things don’t seem very right and he sorted it out very quickly. It’s good to have a good part of the training. And a few little ones. Focusing on technological changes, ”Finch said.
