Zak Crawley got England on the board by driving Australia’s first delivery from Pat Cummins through the covers for four.
On Friday, England won the toss and elected to bat against Australia in the first Test match of the Ashes series at Edgbaston. Joe Root’s tenure as Test captain ended after the squad lost the series. With Brendon McCullum at the helm as coach and Ben Stokes at the helm as captain, England has been unstoppable in Test cricket.
Their ultra-aggressive form of cricket, known as “Baseball,” has completely taken over Test cricket. Stokes has guided his team to 11 victories and only three losses in 14 matches as captain.
