While on his way to his home city of Chennai, MS Dhoni, the Chennai Super Kings captain, stopped by Chennai to see his wife and daughter.
Franchise team Chennai Super Kings (CSK) celebrated “World Lion Day” on August 10th by posting an image of their skipper, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, on Twitter. Lion Day Contestant Entry read “Lion Day Contestant Entry: This guy in camouflage pants and a face mask enters the building. Also, the caption noted that the “CSK den,” also known as the “AnbuDen,” referred to the home site of the team, the Chepauk stadium. Dhoni’s daughter Ziva can be seen in the snap, wearing a white mask, behind him.
The wife of Dhoni, Sakshi, was in Chennai as well. He has been officially announced as remaining in the UAE for the rest of the season, which is IPL 2021. Games are set to begin on September 19 and continue through October 15.
Within hours of the photo being released, over 20,000 people liked it and remarked on his arrival in Chennai.
One fan stated, “Lion is finally returning to the Palace”, while another fan pointed out, using a video clip of Dinesh, Sakshi, and Ziva coming through the Chennai airport, that “Look who arrived”.
A second fan posted a video of the group getting off an airplane.
Other fans asked if there was any news on the term “Chinna,” which is Indian for ‘little.'” While Thala is dubbed “leader,” Raina is called “the younger brother of leader,” or simply “the younger brother of Thala.”
Since the Indian Premier League (IPL) will begin in about a month, many of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) cricketers, barring their overseas stars, have congregated in Chennai. While doing so, they will remain in quarantine under BCCI norms.

Following a dismal season last year, CSK made a fantastic start to IPL 2021 with Dhoni as the team captain.
