In the Women’s CPL, Fatima Sana twisted her ankle, according to a statement from the PCB. After looking into the issue, the PCB Medical panel suggested she take a four-week break.

Due to an ankle injury, Pakistani bowler Fatima Sana will not be participating in the Women’s Asia Cup, which will begin on October 1 in Bangladesh. The Women’s Caribbean Premier League was where Fatima twisted her ankle, according to a statement from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) (CPL). After looking into the issue, the PCB Medical panel suggested she take a four-week break. The bowler, who competed for the Barbados Royals in the CPL, did not attend the initial training session for the competition, which was held in Lahore from August 30 to September 2. In due course, word will be made about her replacement.

The Pakistani team and reserves will meet up at the Lahore Country Club in Muridke later today to prepare for a 10-day camp that will begin on Monday. On September 28, the national team will depart for Bangladesh.

Aimen Anwar, Aliya Riaz, Ayesha Naseem, Diana Baig, Kainat Imtiaz, Muneeba Ali, Sadaf Shamas, Sadia Iqbal, Sidra Amin, Sidra Nawaz, and Tuba Hasan are the Pakistani team’s captains.

Nashra Sundhu, Natalia Pervaiz, Umme Hani, and Waheeda Akhtar are the backup players.

Ayesha Ashhar, the squad manager, Saleem Jaffer, Mauhtashim Rashid, Muhammad Zubair Ahmad, the analyst, and Rifat Gill are the players’ assistants (physiotherapists).

The Women’s Twenty20 Asia Cup in 2022 will run from October 1–16.
