England against India: Shubman Gill released a small video and picture on his Instagram stories which shows that he departed England after he was excluded from the next test series.
India’s batsman Shubman Gill has returned from the five-game test series against England. Gill uploaded an Instagram story about him who came back to India and received him with a cake from his family. He suffered a shiny injury and he had been excluded from the test series against England for eight weeks as a major blow to Team India. Sources told ANI that the injury occurred after the final of the World Test Championship.
“After the WTC finale he has suffered a shin injury versus New Zealand and is going to have to heal for about 8 weeks,” a source said.
Now the Indian management team will have to look forward to Mayank Agarwal or KL Rahul as Rohit Sharma’s second opener.
Gill had no fantastic outing against New Zealand at the World Test Championship (WTC), as he had 28 and 8 runs. He started well in the first intervals but failed to turn it into a big score and performed disappointedly in the second intervals.
New Zealand won the 8 wickets match to take home the Test Mac.
Gill suffered a lean patch with the bat after the brilliant debut in the Australian series and huge scoring avoided him even in the four-game Test series against England earlier this year.
