Virat Kohli continues to be a crucial member of the Indian side as a reliable hitter and a fierce fielder, but AB de Villiers retired from cricket in 2021.
In response to a peculiar inquiry on Twitter, Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara on Tuesday mentioned Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. Which players would one pick if they had to combine three cricketers into one, asked Meta11, which claims to be the largest cricket league in the Metaverse, on the microblogging website. Sangakkara chose de Villiers and Kohli as two of the three players in response to the query, leaving room for a third player.
Whom would you choose if you could only choose THREE cricketers to combine into ONE #Meta11 cricketer? Sangakkara posted on Twitter that “Two of the three will undoubtedly be @imVkohli and @ABdeVilliers17. leaves the third person with an option “was the Sri Lankan legend’s response.
Legendary South African cricketer AB de Villiers announced his retirement from international competition in 2018, but he really did so in November of the previous year.
Kohli, on the other hand, is still a player for the Indian squad. The forthcoming three-match T20I series against South Africa will be his team’s next task.
He scored a precise 63 off 48 balls against Australia in the third and final T20I before the series against the Proteas.
Prior to the 2022 Asia Cup, the ace Indian hitter was out of form, but the T20 format of the continental competition this year allowed him to finish as the second-highest run-getter in the competition. During the match, Kohli sped to his 71st international century, his first century in nearly three years.
