There was no need for a formal hearing because Bavuma pleaded guilty and accepted the recommended penalty.
Three-quarter umpire Bongani Jele and fourth-quarter umpire Allauhudien Palekar all defended their decisions following Friday’s game.

After deciding to bat, India reached 287 for six. Both Rishabh Pant and K L Rahul starred for the visitors, with Pant scoring 85 off 71 balls and Rahul hitting 55 off 79.
Among the South African bowlers, Tabraiz Shamsi was the best, capturing two wickets for 57 runs in nine overs.
