By uploading a humorous meme, Jaffer poked fun at Vaughan as India won their fourth consecutive T20I series against England.
A day after Rohit Sharma’s team trounced the Three Lions by an innings and a wicket in Edgbaston in Birmingham, England, former India batsman Wasim Jaffer made fun of former England captain Michael Vaughan. Also, it was England’s first loss in the shortest format of the game at the stadium in which it occurred. By uploading a humorous meme, Jaffer poked fun at Vaughan as India won their fourth consecutive T20I series against England.
@MichaelVaughan,” Jaffer wrote in the caption of the photo.
On numerous occasions, Jaffer and Vaughan have exchanged hilarious barbs on Twitter.
Notably, Vaughan had earlier taken a dig at Jaffer when England chased their highest-ever total to beat India in the rescheduled fifth Test, denying the visitors a series win.
He had tweeted, “Just checking are ok @WasimJaffer14,” Vaughan said.
Replying to the same, Jaffer wrote: “In all the excitement You forgot to write ‘you’ Check the scoreline #ENGvIND is currently 2-2 “, it’s a good idea too.
After chasing a modest 171 in the second T20I, England was bowled out for an embarrassing score of 121.
Moeen Ali and David Willey fought bravely for England, scoring 35 and 33 not out in cameo appearances, respectively.
Bhubneshwar Kumar grabbed 3 wickets, while Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal each took 2.
An earlier 46 from Ravindra Jadeja helped India reach 170/8 in 20 overs.
The third and final T20I will be held at Trent Bridge in Nottingham on Sunday, followed by three one-day internationals.
