In the third ODI against Zimbabwe in Harare on Monday, Shubman Gill finally ended a long wait for his first international century when he hit the triple-digit mark off just 82 balls. Since making his international debut in January 2019, the gifted opener, who will turn 23 next week, has produced seven 50-plus scores in 11 Test matches and 8 One-Day Internationals. However, despite making it to the 90s a few times, Gill was unable to reach the century. However, Gill made sure that he gets to raise his bat for the first ever international century on Monday.
Gill displayed control throughout the innings by primarily relying on fours to keep his innings moving along. Even though he only had one six, it only took him 85 balls to reach the century. Gill had a unique reaction after the tonne. Finally, he was caught for 130 (15x4s, 1x6s).

Earlier, in the third and final ODI against Zimbabwe, India captain KL Rahul won the toss and decided to bat. Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna were replaced by Deepak Chahar and Avesh Khan after India made two changes. Tanaka Chivanga and Wessely Medhevere were replaced by Richard Ngarava and Tony Munyonga, who was brought in by Zimbabwe.
India has a 2-0 series advantage.
