According to Rajasthan Royals Captain Sanju Samson, Rahul Dravid taught him one of the most important things he has learned.
Rahul Dravid, India’s former captain, and the current head coach are recognized for his humility in cricket. He was respected by his opponents because of the person he is, on and off the field, even while he was a professional cricketer.
An interview with Rajasthan captain Sanju Samson recently revealed one of the teachings Dravid imparted to him during his time as a member of the team.
“While Rahul Dravid was playing for the Royals, we were keen observers of his every move. He is Mr. Manoj Badale, the proprietor of our business. He is the team’s most valuable asset. The groundsman and Manoj Badale are both treated the same by Dravid. That was the most important lesson I learned from him, in my opinion, “Gaurav Kapur’s show, “Breakfast with Champions,” featured Samson.
“And he does it with sincerity. The actions he takes are not merely for the show “Samson was the last to speak.
Samson also talked about Dravid’s time with the Delhi Daredevils, where he worked (Capitals now).
“My team and I traveled to Delhi for two years before he became the coach. When I was there with Karun Nair, Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, and Mayank Agarwal, we were all eager to learn from him “Samson said.
In the IPL 2022 points standings, Samson’s Rajasthan Royals are presently third with 12 points from 10 matches. In the final phases of the league portion of the tournament, his club will face a tight playoff battle with at least three to four other teams.
