India vs England: England players have docked 20 percent of their match fees in the fourth T20I against India to maintain a slow over-rate.

England players have been fined 20 percent of match fees for maintaining a slow over-rate against India in the fourth T20 International in Ahmedabad. ICC’s elite panel match referee Javagal Srinath approved that Eoin Morgan’s side was decided to fall short of the target after the time allowance was noted at the Narendra Modi Stadium. According to Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Person, which deals with minimum over-rate offenses, players were fined 20 percent of their match fees for bowling in the allotted time in their favor. Fails, the ICC said in a release on Friday.

India won the match by eight runs on Thursday night to tie the five-match series 2–2, paving the way for the winner-take-it-all finals game at the same venue on Saturday

Morgan pleaded guilty to the crime and accepted the proposed approval, so there was no need for a formal hearing.

On-field umpires KN Ananthapadmanabhan, Nitin Menon, and third umpire Virender Sharma made the allegations.
