India vs England: Michael Vaughan has had some sharp criticisms for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), who think he can produce “bad pitches” like the third Test match.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan said on Friday that more and more India were allowed to build pitches that were not good enough for Test cricket, the more “toothless” the ICC would look. England suffered an embarrassing 10-wicket defeat in the third Test match against India on Thursday, going down 1-2 in a four-match series on a spin-friendly Motera track. The match ended in two days with pitch drawing flak from former players like Vaughan, although batting legend Sunil Gavaskar gave credit to the Indian spinners instead of blaming the surface. Wogan wrote in the Daily Telegraph, “Long powerful countries such as India are allowed to lapse with it, as the more toothless the ICC will look.”

Expressing his displeasure with the BCCI, he wrote, “The governing body is allowing India to produce as per its wish and it is Test cricket that is hurting it.”

Vaughan, who led England from 2003 to 2008, asked the broadcasters for a refund, saying things could help change things if the match ends soon.

Vaughn wrote, “It will probably help broadcasters to ask for a refund to change things. They accept test finishing early because the players are not good enough, but not when home boards make such poor pitches.” “

“They are left with three free days, but are still paying for production. They will not be happy and can think twice about good money for rights rights.”

He called India’s victory a “shallow win”, but admitted that the home team is much better at dealing with situations.

“India won the third Test but it was a shallow win. In fact, there was no winner from that game,” Vaughan began his column with these words.

He said, “Nevertheless, India showed its skills. We are not being fair if we do not accept that in those circumstances their skill level is far better than in England.”

“But there is a need to look at the good performance of the game and it is our duty as former players to call it out.”

Vaughan said the pitches in the last two Tests have disappointed the players.

“We have to be fair and recognize that these players are battling for their careers and in the last two weeks they have been let down from the surfaces,” he said.

He said, ‘How can anyone say that the Test match is the first innings in 250 innings and claims that the pitch is very good.

“Test cricket is not about accepting that you need to be a bit lucky as a batsman to score runs in the first innings.

“If you have a World Test Championship, you need to earn points to produce surfaces that are not considered good enough for Test cricket.

Vaughan said, “But it is also a real concern for the game that we have responded by producing India off the pitch and going down 1-0.”

He also blamed England’s rotation policy and said he deserved to be in the position that he is at the moment.

“He neglected to send Johnny Bairstow home to walk his dogs for two weeks and then bat at three against Ravi Ashwin and bite him at the backside.”
