When the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe begins on August 18 in Harare, it will be with Shahbaz Ahmed in lieu of the “injured” Washington Sundar.

Just recently, Dhawan captained India to a 3-0 ODI series victory over the West Indies. Dhawan and Shubman Gill made a dangerous opening pair.

Zimbabwe, on the other hand, won both the ODI and T20I series against Bangladesh.

The following players will represent India in three One-Day Internationals: captain KL Rahul, vice-captain Shikhar Dhawan, wicketkeepers Ishan Kishan and Sanju Samson, all-rounders Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Avesh Khan, Prasidh Krishna, Mohd Siraj, Deepak Chahar, and Shahbaz Ahmed.
