“We are disappointed to lose a player of Kieron’s talent and wish him a fast recovery,” Surrey CCC Director of Cricket Alec Stewart stated in an official statement.

All-rounder Kieron Pollard has been ruled out of the rest of Surrey’s T20 Blast season after injuring his left knee in the first innings of their match against Essex. This year’s T20 Blast has been canceled, but Kieron Pollard should be fit for the Hundred. He hasn’t improved much despite treatment, therefore it was decided to get a surgical opinion. Earlier this month, Surrey County Cricket Club announced the signing of the former all-rounder for the next T20 Blast season.

Kieron Pollard said: “This is very frustrating as we have been a dominant force and I felt I was part of something exceptional. But I wish the players all the best for the rest of the campaign whilst I get myself healthy and firing again.”

“We are disappointed to lose a player of Kieron’s talent and wish him a fast recovery,” Surrey CCC Director of Cricket Alec Stewart stated in an official statement.

“He hasn’t improved much despite treatment, therefore it was decided to get a surgical opinion. This morning, he had a successful surgery that will keep him out of commission for the next four to six weeks as he recovers “the statement went on to say.

Surrey has five games remaining in the Vitality Blast Group stages.
