Wasim caught the ball and tossed it, but it hit the umpire in the leg. Dar dropped a jersey he was wearing after taking a hit. Pakistani captain Babar Azam and others could be overheard giggling. Then Dar’s right leg was massaged by Naseem Shah.

Spinner Mohammad Nawaz got four wickets to help Pakistan restrict New Zealand to 261 all out on Wednesday, after opener Devon Conway scored a century in the second day-night international in Karachi.

Nawaz concluded with 4 for 38 as New Zealand collapsed from a solid 183 for one in 29.5 overs to 206 for six, losing 5 wickets for 23 runs in 40 deliveries.

Pakistan won the first game of the three-game series on Monday, also in Karachi, by a score of six wickets.

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, New Zealand’s batsmen were buoyed by a 181-run partnership between Conway (101) and Kane Williamson (85), but they eventually collapsed against the spin of Nawaz.

The stand was broken when Conway was out caught off the final ball of the 30th over by fast bowler Naseem Shah (3-58).

Conway scored his second hundred in ODIs off 92 balls, with 13 fours and a six.
