IPL 2021: MS Dhoni made his 200th face for Chennai Super Kings in his famous yellow jersey when he played next Punjab Kings on Friday.
As Chennai Super Kings (CSK) gets on the field facing Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Friday, this will be MS Dhoni’s 200th show in the Chennai-based outfit’s great yellow jersey. Dhoni was picked up by CSK ahead of the inaugural edition in 2008 and has lived for all seasons of 2016 and 2017 – when the franchise was banned for two years. Former CSK all-rounder Shane Watson took to Twitter and saluted Dhoni for achieving this feat. Describing Dhoni as the beat of CSK, Watson also extended his best wishes for the Punjab Kings match.

Watson experienced a photo of himself and Dhoni on the IPL Trophy, writing, “Best of luck tonight @mahi7781 for your 200th match for @chennaiipl. You are the heartbeat of the team and one of the greatest leaders in the game.”

His 200 out of 176 features in CSK Rang have spanned 12 versions in the IPL, while the rest have now come defending the Champions League.
Dhoni has performed more IPL events than any other player with 206 sixes. He grasped by Rohit Sharma (202), Dinesh Karthik (198), CSK batsmen Suresh Raina (195), and Virat Kohli (194).
Out of his 206 IPL features, the former India captain now described the defending Rising Pune Supergiant during the 2016 and 2017 editions, playing 30 IPL matches in the two seasons he used there.
Not just from several matches, Dhoni is also one of the greatest run-scorers in the IPL story with a score of 40.63 and a strike rate of 136.67 with 4,632 runs. Remembered for his big hits, Dhoni has so incomparably scored 313 fours and 216 sixes in the IPL. His 200 out of 176 features in CSK Rang have crossed 12 editions in the IPL
