Indian team members and family members all reached England, whereupon many images were shared on social media, most notably that of Ravichandran Ashwin with his daughters looking “jet-lagged”.
In quarantine in England, Ravichandran Ashwin has posted a cute photo of his two daughters with him. Despite their adorably drowsy expressions, Ashwin says their faces looked “jelly-strained.” To end the mandatory 10-day quarantine imposed on members of the Indian cricket team and their families before the World Test Championship (WTC) final on June 18, an Instagram image showing all three people staring into the camera was captured at a facility within the Southampton Stadium.
More than 1.23 lakh people have liked the post in two hours. Comments have been made on the post by many others as well.
The young woman in the image is likened to actress Ashwin’s wife, Prithi Narayanan, according to a user, Mina 45.
Sunnie requested, “Sir, please let me bat in the final.”
The comment said, “Lovely picture,” and the user name was Deepak90 shreyas41.
These are not the first photos of Ashwin’s daughters that he has shared. Only a week ago, he had offered to send another picture to the individuals who were quarantined in Mumbai prior to traveling to the UK.
The caption for the picture read: “Quarantine cuddles.”
The Indian cricket team, having arrived in England, is in Southampton, where the World Cup Final is being played. BCCI shared a video showing the entire experience of the Indian team, which spent over 100 days in the UK.
Players were shown arriving at the Mumbai airport and then, several minutes later, arriving at London’s Heathrow airport. The team took a bus ride to the Ageas Bowl cricket ground, where they spent some time enjoying the facilities.
The team is quarantining themselves in the hotel, which is inside the stadium complex. Following the conclusion of the World Trade Center final, India will face England in a five-Test series beginning on August 4th at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.
