In IPL 2022, the Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians will meet at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai as a memorial to the late Australian spinner Shane Warne.
Shane Warne’s death in March this year shook the world. In Thailand, Warne died of a heart attack, according to reports. In honor of Warne’s passing, the Rajasthan Royals will hold a moment of silence ahead of their IPL encounter against the Mumbai Indians on Saturday. The team revealed on Friday the special ‘SW23’ shirt that the contingent will wear in the match against Mumbai in honor of the renowned spinner.
The Rajasthan Royals’ official Twitter account published images of the team’s special uniforms ahead of their game against the Mumbai Indians.

To honor the late Australian cricket icon, the Rajasthan Royals’ playing group will wear the letters ‘SW23’ on the collars of their jerseys for the upcoming season.
Warne’s brother Jason has accepted an offer from the Jaipur-based side to join in the celebrations for the special homage on Saturday.
In addition, a Shane Warne Tribute Gallery has been established at the DY Patil Stadium for all ticket-holders to come and enjoy.
In the inaugural IPL season of 2008, Warne led Rajasthan Royals to victory as the team defeated Chennai Super Kings in the championship match.
Between 1992 and 2007, Warne took 708 Test wickets and 293 ODI wickets in 145 games.
