The Chennai Super Kings have advanced to the IPL 2021 final after a thrilling four-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals in Qualifier 1 thanks in part to the former India captain Sunil Gavaskar.
In Qualifier 1, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) beat Delhi Capitals (DC) by four wickets and advanced to the Indian Premier League (IPL) final, earning high praise from former India captain Sunil Gavaskar. Gautam Gavaskar lauded the team, calling it “special” not only for its on-field accomplishments but also for what the team means to its devoted followers all over the globe. Gavaskar stated, “This is a very special franchise,” during the post-match show on Star Sports.
Gavaskar talked about how last season’s failure to make the playoffs disrupted things in the CSK camp.
“This was a team that had made the playoffs each year for the previous decade. To put it another way, their failure to make the playoffs must have been an anomaly, given how far they’ve come since then. They’ve made a strong comeback. What I’m seeing is completely absurd “exclaimed the former India captain.
CSK’s administration, as well as the players who work there, were lauded by Sunil. To him, it’s a testament to the organization’s success that fans and players alike are loyal to the organization both on and off the field.
“This franchise has such devoted followers… So much support from its fans just goes to show how important this franchise is “he explained.
“Since the Mumbai Indians aren’t going to win, I’d prefer it if CSK did. CSK is where I’ve had some of my most memorable moments in cricket. This place’s leadership is incredibly helpful to players… That’s why even the fans show such a high level of loyalty. The fans in Chennai are well-versed in the game, and they care deeply about it “Gavaskar was a late addition.
The winner of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) vs. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Eliminator will face DC (KKR).
