Sri Lanka versus India: The Indian squad looks forward to finishing the series in the second T20I on Tuesday, after winning the first T20I.

The Indian team will expect Sanju Samson to translate his remarkable talents into consistent performance by winning the second match on Tuesday in Sri Lanka to seal the International T20 series. After beating Sri Lanka hollow by 38 rounds at the opening match, the Indians are unlikely to rally in the victory group unless team manager Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav elect to remain ready to connect with the UK red-ball squad.

However, it is expected that both will play at least tomorrow and may rest when India has secured the series in the last game. If an alternative plan is present, Devdutt Padikkal and Ruturaj Gaikwad could look in rather than an out-of-form Manish Pandey.

But on Tuesday, Samson, who was always highly ranked and “the next great thing,” but flattered to mislead himself in a shirt from India in all his opportunities.

An average of 13.75 in 8 games with enough opportunity to fight the top order doesn’t bode well for Samson at a time when the talent vault of Indian cricket is bursting with wealth.

Rishabh Pant left him far behind in terms of performance and Ishan Kishan has not harmed his reputation in the little chances he has.

With KL Rahul’s white cricket-wicket option as well, it is high time that the man of Kerala justifies the Indian cricket system’s proof of faith. Samson and NCA director Rahul Dravid would like to see his ward achieve more than some beautiful cover discs or have flickered six fast bowling bowlers.

This series will be Samson’s only opportunity to impress for a while if he doesn’t get a score in the next two games. The second slight worry for the squad is the batting form of Hardik Pandya, which has settled a little in recent matches. His bowling has been solid, but he was not close to what he used to be before his back surgery.

The Indian bowlers gave a wonderful show during the first game, and Varun Chakravarthy would like to make another addition to Yuzvendra Chahal, who also struggles for this place. Indeed, Chakravarthy and Chahal might be in the squad with more than 20 players supposedly selected for the T20 World Cup in the UAE.

For Sri Lanka, the T20 series is harder than the ODIs, since there are no enforcers who can play the game with regular great hits.

Charith Asalanka tried to press India for 44 runs, but Dieun Shanaka’s inexperience throughout the vital parts of the game was revealed by losing six wickets on Monday for the 15 runs. The silver furnishing will certainly be the leg breaks of Wanindu Hasaranga, which have caused some trouble for the Indians except for Suryakumar.
