“Yes, only Krunal would have to stay in Sri Lanka for one week because of the obligatory isolation period,” a top BCCI official told PTI about anonymity rules.
“After a week, he will be allowed to fly back if he has two negative RT-PCR findings. He’s currently in his solitude on the fourth day. All other people can leave because they all have tested negative, “He said that.
The Indian squad ended the series on Thursday, which was first delayed because of several cases of COVID-19 in Sri Lankan camp after returning from its tour of the United Kingdom.
The ODI series was postponed by five days, followed by the second T20 International on Tuesday, which had shown good signs on that day.
Eight other players were likewise isolated and tested, considered his close proximity.
These were his younger brother Hardik, Suryakumar Shaw, Pandey Manish, Chahar Deepak, Gowtham Krishnappa, Kishan Ishan, and Chahal Yuzvendra. All eight had tested negative, though.
