Stump Mic
England vs. New Zealand in the T20 World Cup: Matthew Cross expresses his thoughts.

The T20 World Cup, New Zealand vs. Scotland: After their defeat to New Zealand on Wednesday, wicketkeeper Matthew Cross made the comment.

In the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup match against New Zealand on Wednesday, Scotland wicketkeeper Matthew Cross was caught on the stump-mic reminding his fellow teammate and bowler Chris Greaves that the entire Indian population is behind him. If Scotland had beaten New Zealand, then team India would have qualified for the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2021. India’s chances of making the semi-finals are slim after losing both of its first-round matches. Technically, the future of India rests on the shoulders of the opposing team.

Scotland’s wicketkeeper was caught on the stump-mic saying to Chris Greaves, “Come on Greavo, whole India is behind you,” during the 7th over of the match.

Unfortunately, Scotland couldn’t beat New Zealand by 16 runs in order to help India’s chances of qualifying for the World Cup, and they lost the match.

With their first win of the tournament, India beat Afghanistan by 66 runs on Wednesday.
