Let’s hope I am capable of playing when it is renegotiated- Jofra Archer on IPL 2021. After returning for competitive cricket, Jofra Archer announced that the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season was a difficult decision to pull out due to his injury. The British pacer said that, if IPL 2021 is “rescheduled,” he might play for Rajasthan Royals (RR). After many players and support personnel screened positively in a bio-safe bubble, the competition was postponed indefinitely throughout the season. The BCCI has yet to name a date for the T20 franchise. Archer said, speaking via RR’s Twitter account, “It was a difficult decision not to go for the IPL to India. I was sponsored by Rajasthan Royals. Hopefully, I get to play when it’s rescheduled”. Archer was cut to his hand in January when he cleaned his house. While injured, he played in two test matches and five T20Is, before leaving for the United Kingdom for rehabilitation on England’s tour of India. The 2019 World Cup winner is currently being tracked and represented by the Sussex medical team in a county championship vs Kent. The return of Pacer will be good news for the ECB, where England will be hosting NZ in a two-game test series this year, and India will also be hosting a bilateral five-game series. The T20 World Cup is also scheduled to take place in India this year, and Archer will play a major role in England’s bowling department.
