IPL 2022: As Tilak Varma hit a six off Riyan Parag’s bowling, a cameraman was struck by the ball.
Tilak Varma, a 19-year-old Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 cricketer, was a bright spot for Mumbai Indians, who were beaten by Rajasthan Royals by 23 runs on Saturday. MI’s left-handed batter hit a superb half-century in their pursuit of 194 runs, displaying excellent technique and power. He didn’t just keep the ship afloat; he also scored quickly to keep his team in the hunt, smashing three boundaries and five sixes in his knock.
A cameraman on the boundary was the victim of one of those sixes, not the Rajasthan Royals.
Varma smashed a tremendous shot over long-off in the 12th over of MI’s chase, but the ball struck the cameraman on the head.
After sustaining a blow to the head, the cameraman could be seen cradling his head.

As he fielded in the deep, Trent Boult of the Rajasthan Royals could be seen checking on the cameraman and signaling for help.
Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed Varma for 61 off 33 balls.
A lone wicket fell in the fourth over, then Varma and Ishan Kishan added 81 runs for the third wicket before Kishan was removed for 54 off 43.
After that, it was all downhill for MI, who could only muster a score of 170/8.
Jos Buttler scored the first century of this season’s IPL to put RR on the verge of a 193/8-point lead.
The Rajasthan Royals have won both of their games so far this season, while the Mumbai Indians are still searching for their first win.
