India captain Virat Kohli posted a complete picture on social media with his wife Anushka Sharma. Kohli and Anushka are the parents of their daughter Vamika, who was born in January this year. In the picture, Kohli is seen hugging Anushka, and the captain of India captioned the post with a heart emoji. Kohli next appears in action on Friday when he leads India in five T20Is against England. He returns from paternity leave after winning a 3–1 series in the Test against England from India, which missed him in the last three Tests in Australia.
Kohli and Anushka were married in 2017.
On the field, Kohli will take India’s preparations forward with the T20 World Cup to be held in India later this year.
Ahead of the series against England starting tomorrow, Kohli addressed the media on Thursday and said that Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who is making a comeback after a long injury, will be trusted to make it to the T20 World Cup.
He also revealed that KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma will make their batting debut for India in T20Is and with more depth, India can be expected to play more freely and take more risks.
Five T20Is will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and will be played on March 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20.
There will be a three-match ODI series in Pune to go on a tour of England after the T20I series.
