In the second game of the 2017 Caribbean Premier League, Trinbago Knight Riders skipper Kieron Pollard outdid himself by taking a fantastic catch at the boundary ropes to dismiss Alzarri Joseph.
Every cricket fan is aware of Kieron Pollard’s agility as a fielder and his aptitude for snatching the ball out of the air. Pollard, the captain of the Trinbago Knight Riders, outdid himself in the second game of the present Caribbean Premier League, taking an incredible catch at the boundary lines to dismiss Alzarri Joseph. Everyone was in shock when the former West Indies captain made the catch on the fifth ball of the last over of the innings.
Joseph smashed the ball over long-on after Jayden Seales bowled a delivery of a somewhat short length. To take a one-handed stunner at long-on, Pollard timed his jump precisely. Pollard had the foresight to throw the ball up in the air and then return inside to complete the catch as his momentum was about to push him over the line.
Speaking about the game, Saint Lucia Kings batted first and scored 143/9 in their allotted 20 overs. Roshon Primus top-scored for the Trinbago Knight Riders with a score of 38, and Akeal Hosein replied with four wickets.
As Trinbago Knight Riders pursued the mark with three wickets in hand and four balls remaining, Tion Webster played a 58-run inning. Tim Seifert contributed a vital 34-run knock as well.
