Australian David Warner tried to imitate Pat Cummins by hammering the pitch in Karachi in the Australia-Pakistan match on Day 5. Video of the occasion was posted by PCB on YouTube, and Candice Warner responded.
It was recently documented that Pat Cummins attempted to fix the surface at the National Stadium in Karachi during Pakistan and Australia’s second Test match. There’s a video of David Warner trying his hand at the hammer on Day 5 thanks to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). At 380 for four in Pakistan’s second innings, Warner could be seen smashing the footpaths. “The Thor hammer made another appearance today,” the PCB wrote on Twitter.
Candice, Warner’s wife, retweeted the video and had a message for him, to the delight of the viewers. This is something I wish @davidwarner31 would do more often around the house!
With many admirers flooding the pair with love and support, the video and Candice’s reply were a big hit.
Pakistan and Australia played out a thrilling draw in the second Test, with Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan both scoring hundreds as Pakistan chased down a 506-run mark.
As Pakistan batted for 171.4 overs to achieve 443 for seven in their second innings, Rizwan remained unbeaten on 104.
Nathan Lyon’s dismissal of Babar for 196 meant he missed out on a double century.
Pat Cummins and Nathon Lyon both grabbed four wickets for Australia in the one-day international against India.
Earlier, Australia declared their second innings at 97 for two in the second innings.
