BCCI India against England: On Twitter, the BCCI posted a new fielding drill that wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant had practiced with fielding coach R Sridhar.
R Sridhar appears to have come up with a new fielding workout for Team India players, including wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant, ahead of the upcoming second Test match against England. The BCCI published a video on their Facebook page, in which Sridhar trained Pant while the four other athletes worked with him using an unorthodox technique that also included Prasidh Krishna, Wriddhiman Saha, and Hanuma Vihari. The video clip in which the Indian fielding coach is seen batting with Pant behind the stumps shows up in the picture. On the other side of Sridhar, two men have been put, who presumably distract Pant while the bowler gets deliveries.
Even as the bowler at the far end delivers, the two players on either side of Sridhar pass balls to one another.
After the drew First Test at Trent Bridge, the series was equal at 0-0. Both teams will now be attempting to gain an outright victory in the Second Test at Lord’s.
